Dear Colleagues,
It is with great sadness we have to inform you that past ESGE President Dr Alan Gordon passed away peacefully at the end of August.
Alan was at the forefront of gynaecological endoscopic surgery and was instrumental in promoting it in its initial years. He was a founding member of both the British and European Gynaecological Endoscopic Societies and became President of both.
The ESGE family together with the gynaecological endoscopy community worldwide owe Alan and his like-minded fellow colleagues the practice we have today, and appreciate their vision which they nurtured in those hostile years.
The funeral for Alan will be held on Friday 7th September in North Yorkshire, Great Britain, and followed by a thanksgiving service.
